About hotel
Trakstop38 Motel is located in the oldest village in the south of Lake Baikal, in Kultuk, Irkutsk region, where the power of Baikal nature and the atmosphere of more than three hundred years of history can still be felt today.
Once it was here that the Krugomorsky tract passed, built in 1805, which was part of the Siberian Tract, a segment of the Great Tea Road. The Great Tea Road connected the West and the East with new connections, trade relations and became the reason for the establishment of many stations in Russia. So, in 1647, the explorer Ivan Pokhabov passed through here, in 1694 the first winter quarters were set up, and then the Kultutskaya postal station was opened, which became a connecting link between Russia and China on the way through Great Baikal, so that trade routes did not go by water (which was dangerous and long), but by land..
Russian Russian soldier, participant of the 1813-1814 Russian Army campaign abroad, major, Decembrist, member of the Northern and Southern Societies, N. I. Lorer wrote about Kultuk in his notes.: "The colossal Khamar-Daban gloomily towers above the heights, at the foot of which, on the shore of Lake Baikal, our humble corner is sheltered."
Now, as before, there was a highway here, the federal highway R-258 Baikal Irkutsk — Ulan Ude — Chita passes, where the Trakstop 38 roadside complex is located (Komsomolskaya St., 23/3).
Our motel offers 10 comfortable rooms of different categories with separate entrances each.
Standard rooms are represented by:
• double and triple rooms with separate single beds (rooms with check-in);
• double rooms with separate single beds (without check-in).
These rooms are suitable for those who travel with a company, but at the same time want to have a good rest and save some money.
The Suite is a family room for 3-4 people, consisting of a bedroom with one double bed and a living room with a sofa.
Each room has a shower cabin, toilet, hairdryer, shower gel, soap and shampoo. The rooms also have a TV (except for a triple room), a refrigerator, a kettle, glasses, and we also provide our guests with water and tea. Relaxing in designer rooms with hand-painted walls based on the Siberian Tract will immerse everyone in the atmosphere of comfort, and snow-white linens will give a feeling of cleanliness and comfort.
Free paved parking for cars is provided especially for car travelers staying at the motel. We allow pets (small breeds) for an additional fee.
Our motel is most suitable for car travelers, representatives of logistics and trading companies, but we welcome every guest, start your acquaintance with Lake Baikal with us, at its southernmost point!
Staying at our motel, you can enjoy Wi-Fi (throughout), a 24-hour cafe where hot dishes of both traditional and local cuisine are always waiting for you. On our menu you will find roast stewed in a pot under a bread cap, mushroom soup, smoked Baikal fish soup, pike cutlets, Siberian pickled cabbage with lingonberries, homemade pies, pancakes stuffed with farm veal, dumplings with lingonberries, dumplings and hand-made poses.
True gourmets will also be impressed by our signature tea made from local herbs and berries, included in the "Golden Collection of teas of the Southern Baikal region", berry pies made from blueberries and lingonberries — gifts of Khamar Daban - and a signature Siberian dessert made from lingonberries, pine nuts and condensed milk! Taste Baikal!
The Trakstop38 complex also includes a gas station for electric vehicles, paid parking for heavy trucks or those who wish to continue their journey without a car, an auto parts store, a supermarket (opening hours: 08:00 to 20:00 seven days a week) and a 24-hour bath and laundry complex, which has a sauna for those who just needs to relieve tension after a long trip.
A gas station is located in the immediate vicinity, and 500 meters from the complex you can stroll through the Coastal Park and touch the sacred waters of the great Lake Baikal (along Oktyabrskaya Street; formerly Bolshaya Street, the oldest street in the south of Lake Baikal).
And for those who are tired and bored on the road and want to start exploring the amazing world of Lake Baikal right now, feel the power of Baikal nature, see the beauty of the taiga and the mountain spurs of Khamar-Daban, we suggest taking a walk along the park-type trail (without a slope) "Krugomorsky tract. Tea Way" (950 meters long, which starts right from our complex — the entrance is from the far corner of the fence at the end of the parking lot) and become part of a history lasting more than two centuries!
You can learn more about the Kultuk highway and its history at the information stands installed on the trail.
Welcome to the Southern Baikal region, to the Trakstop38 motel and our entire complex!
We work with love and care for you!
