The village has just two places to stay: an eco-complex on the slope of the Efa Dune on the Baltic side and a small hotel by the Curonian Lagoon. Roughly two hundred and fifty metres and a single dune separate them. Neither carries an official star rating, and there are no sanatoriums or all-inclusive resorts in Morskoye either.

It depends on which side of the village you are on. From the small hotel the lagoon is minutes away on foot, while getting to the Baltic Sea means about a quarter of an hour through the pine woods. At the eco-complex it is the other way round: it stands right on the Baltic shore, and the lagoon is the same walk in the opposite direction. The spit is narrow here, so seeing both the sea and the lagoon in one day is entirely realistic.

Yes, the spit is national park territory, and every visitor pays the fee on entry rather than at check-in. It is not included in the price of your stay, and there is no separate pass for hotel guests. You can pay at the checkpoint or online; children, pensioners, large families and people with disabilities enter free of charge. Check the current rate and the checkpoint's opening hours on the national park website before you travel.

The nearest airport is Khrabrovo, and from there the village is about an hour to an hour and a half by car along the highway through Zelenogradsk and then out onto the spit. There are no direct trains, and travelling by bus means changing in Zelenogradsk on a service that runs rarely. Most guests arrive in their own or a rented car — or by bike, since a cycle path links the village with Zelenogradsk.

Yes, both places to stay in the village accept guests with pets, which is very unusual for a protected area. Check the conditions and the rules on walking your pet when you book: this is a national park, and the dunes and nature trails have restrictions of their own.

The main sights are close at hand: the Efa Dune with its viewing boardwalks and the Orekhovaya Dune, which looks across to the Lithuanian part of the spit, are both within walking distance. A little further on, closer to Rybachy, are the Dancing Forest with its twisted pines and Muller Height with its panorama of the sea, the lagoon and Lake Chaika; a boardwalk nature trail above the water at Lake Lebed leads towards the Lithuanian border. The more distant spots are easier to reach by car or bike.
