Hotels in downtown Mount Elbrus (East Summit)
When choosing accommodation in central Elbrus village, don’t confuse it with Terskol or Azau Glade: the resort and cable cars are about a 20-minute drive away. This selection includes stays in the village and closer to the slopes.
Family Apartments on Balkarskaya Street
For a family trip to Elbrus village, Lisichkinhouse on Balkarskaya Street offers two options: split-level apartments for a large family and ground-floor studios that can be booked separately or together. Each studio has a kitchenette, while cots, children’s tableware, books and games are provided for younger guests.
Cabin stays in Elbrus
Both properties offer cabins with kitchens for a stay in Elbrus. Ozon Village has chalets in a pine forest, around seven minutes from the Cheget and Azau ski slopes. At Glamping Dom, a nature trail starts just outside the gate, the river is 100 metres away, and the ski lifts are a 10–15-minute drive.
Two Ways to Stay Among Mountains
For a trip to Elbrus, Usengi Hotel and Hostel on Balkarskaya Street offers private rooms and dorm beds. Note the location of the second option: Polyana Narzanov is a small, four-room hotel in the village of Baydayevo, with a café serving local cuisine and free parking.
Terskol: Central Stays or Nearby Slopes
Moon Resort Hotel is in central Terskol, 3 km from Azau Glade, with breakfast served and ski storage available. Eco Shale Cheget suits guests who want slopes within walking distance and evenings in a fireplace lounge. For a self-catering stay, Apartments on Elbrusskaya Street 3 has a kitchen and washing machine, with shops and equipment rentals nearby.
Stay Near the Azau Cable Car
These three hotels are handy bases for the Elbrus slopes: Shaherezada is 100 m from a cable car station, while Alpina and Vertikal are about 150 m away. Alpina offers budget rooms with shared bathroom facilities, while Vertikal has a Comfort room category with a terrace. Shaherezada suits guests keen to try regional cuisine at the hotel restaurant after a day in the mountains.
What to consider when choosing
For the village centre, look around the Eternal Memory to the Heroes memorial and the local administration at 23 Elbrusskaya Street; the resort is about a 20-minute drive away. For a stay near the cable car, consider Azau: Shaherezada is 100 metres from the station, and Alpina and Vertikal are about 150 metres away; check lift operations before travelling, as the resort page lists them as closed.
Lisichkinhouse on Balkarskaya Street offers split-level apartments for larger families, plus ground-floor studios that can be booked separately or together. Each studio has a kitchenette, and cots, children’s tableware, books and games are provided for younger guests.
Eco Village has parking, but check any charges and space availability for your dates before booking. Don’t assume every central property has its own parking: none is listed for Apartments on Gagish Street, for example.
