Gulyai-Gorod Country Hotel

A country hotel located far from the main city thoroughfares on the banks of the Oka River. The hotel is perfect for both family vacations and romantic get-togethers. Sheremetyevo Airport is 112 km away. Glamping on the banks of the Oka River hosted its first guests in the summer of 2016. It was Russia's first summer hotel on the riverbank, near Polenovo, in the south of Moscow region, 100 km from the MKAD. In the spring of 2018, a restaurant and a small hotel with 12 rooms were opened. A bit of history. Wooden platforms and safari tents were used for the construction of the glamping. And to the ancient expression "gulyai gorod", which means a prefabricated structure made of carts and shields, a new meaning has been added – camping in comfort. "Glamorous" and "camping" have merged into one. These are no longer camping tents — there are beds, furniture, and electricity, but not yet stationary cabins. Such is the comfortable unity with nature. Meat on the grill, soup over a campfire, climbing to the sound of birds and frogs singing, boating or kayaking. And at the same time, it's cozy and there's hot water nearby. The guests asked if it was possible to come to such a beautiful place in autumn or winter. If you're coming for a few days, then a cafe would be very useful. And in the spring of 2018, a restaurant and hotel complex was opened. A cozy room with an open veranda and a view of the Oka River, several rooms – from a single fisherman's room to a duplex family suite. There is also a living room with a library, billiards, an Irish pub, and a fireplace room. Citizens love country vacations, but they cannot imagine themselves without the comforts and amenities of the twenty-first century. It's nice to walk barefoot on the green grass, but there should be wi-fi and a refrigerator. The next acquisition was capsules — small all-weather romantic houses with panoramic windows and amenities. We were the first in the country to install such capsules, they became very popular, after the first "Moon House" we expanded the line and at the moment there are 10 capsules operating all year round, two more are added in the summer. In the winter of 2022, four domes with panoramic windows, two mirrored houses, and a double house were launched. In the fall of 2022, the tents were dismantled, most likely permanently. The time has come for more comfortable accommodation for Guests on the riverbank — in barnhouses. Today, Gulyai-Gorod is a country hotel on the banks of the Oka River, where you can come at least ten times and stay in a new room or house each time.
