I spent 3 days in this small hotel. I booked it for a business trip. It has a private bathroom, which is already convenient. There’s a TV in the room, and the internet works here too. Slippers, bathrobes and towels are provided. They also gave me the documents needed for reporting. Cafes and restaurants are nearby, and there are also shops and bakeries. The hotel’s location is convenient for me, although it’s a bit far from the city centre.

This is a modern-style hostel with comfortable beds that are enclosed by thick, heavy curtains. The sleeping space is wide, and I fit in it well. There’s a small light in the bedside area and power sockets. Opposite is a wardrobe with individual compartments. The bathroom and toilet are shared. They’re cleaned regularly.

We needed to find inexpensive accommodation in the Industrialny district for 3 days. Oh, what luck — the Altgost mini‑hotel is located near the Leto shopping centre. We’ve already stayed at their place in Novosibirsk. And now they have a small hotel in Barnaul too. It’s clean and cozy, the room is good. The bed is new, the renovation is fresh. The price pleasantly surprised us — we haven’t seen prices like that in a long time.

The hostel is right in the city centre, the location is simply wonderful. The price is a dream — I was able to rest and find accommodation for a small amount. By the way, I stay in hostels often and I always get lucky with the neighbours, and this time was no exception. The staff are responsive and hospitable, they’re happy to answer all questions. The bathroom is fine, clean and tidy, with no mould or rust. The kitchen had everything I needed. Great.

The hotel is good for those who have come to the resort to go skiing. You can rent equipment here, and there’s a ski school. The building is very cozy, with just 2 floors. We booked a standard room, and it was very comfortable. I liked the decor — it’s in the Alpine style.

For walking around the city, the center between Lenin Avenue and Demidov Square: museums, restaurants and the Ob embankment are all within walking distance. For a single night before setting off for the Altai, the station district and Pobedy Square. If you are driving and have no plans for the center, look at Zarechye across the Ob or the western neighborhoods along Pavlovsky Trakt.
If you are continuing by train or bus, take a room near the train station and Pobedy Square — morning departures to Gorno-Altaysk and Belokurikha are easy from there. If you are flying, spend the night on Pavlovsky Trakt: the airport is on the same road, and the morning drive takes only minutes.
Barnaul is not a resort city, so the spread of rates here is calm and hardly depends on the season. The cheapest tier is capsule beds in hostels by the train station; small hotels in the center and apartments with kitchens cost a little more, and over several nights an apartment often works out better value than a room. The most expensive option is the single premium country hotel across the Ob.
