For an overnight stop on the drive south, Rybachka on the M4 offers guarded parking and a 24-hour eatery. If you’d rather cook your own meals, consider the apartment on Polovinko Street: it also has a washing machine, useful on a longer trip.

Compare transport, food and parking costs as well as the nightly rate, and budget separately for a security deposit: the apartments on Voroshilova and Klary Tsetkin streets require 2,000 roubles. Check the location too: Staraya Melnitsa, for example, is in the village of Leningradskaya rather than Bataysk, although its Wi-Fi and private parking are free.
