For exploring the village, consider Altay Voyage: the local history museum is a four-minute walk away, and the bus station is one minute away. If walking to Chemal Dam matters more, 7 Pyatnits is seven minutes from it on foot, but 3 km from the village centre.
If you are happy with a shared kitchen, consider a room at Chizhik at 12 Dvornikova Street, a guesthouse with just three rooms. For your own kitchen, look at the houses at ALTAYPIC in central Chemal: they have an electric hob, fridge, microwave and kitchenware.
