In central Dombay, you can stay close to the cable cars or beside the Amanauz River. Choose a base to suit your plans: skiing, walking or a longer mountain stay with your own kitchen.
These hotels are convenient bases for exploring Dombay and skiing: Gold Star is within walking distance of the cable car, Orion is nearby, and Zvezdny is 580 m from a station. Snezhinka is 300 m from the centre and 267 m from the cable car, with ski equipment available to rent. If you bring your own gear, Gold Star has a room for drying and storing it.
Nastup is within walking distance of the cable car and offers apartments with kitchens for self-catering. Lesnaya Skazka is 600 metres from the “1600 m” chairlift and has a shared kitchen. Taukel sits right in the village centre, with a kitchen in every room—a practical option for a longer stay.
Choose between proximity to the lifts and a more secluded setting: Grand is 150 m from the gondola, while Mirros Subay sits in the Amanauz gorge, a 15-minute walk from the lift stations. Cosmos Selection Dombay Diamond has cafés and equipment rental nearby; Assa is less than a kilometre from cafés and the Amanauz River.
Dombai Palace is a five-minute walk from the “1600 m” lift, and Andersen is five minutes from the nearest cable cars. Alpiyskiy offers direct access to the “1636 m” cable car, while Snezhny Bars is 500 metres from the “1600 m” station. Snezhny Bars has a storage and drying room for your ski gear; Alpiyskiy has one too, open during the ski season.
All three places let you reach the lifts on foot. Gorsky Dom sits on the quiet outskirts, a leisurely 10-minute walk from the cable car; Taurukh is beside the Amanauz River, a 7–10-minute walk from the station. At Gornaya Khizhina, every room has its own entrance, with woodland, shops and cafés nearby.
For skiing, consider Grand, just 150 m from the gondola. For walks towards the Amanauz Gorge, Mirros Subay is set in the gorge itself; the route is open only as far as the Devil’s Mill waterfall, and you should check its status before setting out.
For self-catering, choose an apartment with a kitchen at Nastup or a room at Taukel, where every room has a kitchen; Lesnaya Skazka has a shared kitchen. If you need a family room, Sokol offers a Family Suite and a children’s area in summer.
Bostan has free parking, while Kristall offers parking but does not specify the cost. Before booking, check availability for your dates and the parking terms; Bostan is a few minutes’ walk from the lift, and Kristall is 400 m from the “1600 m” station.
