Hotels in Domodedovo

The main reason to look for a room in Domodedovo is an early departure or a late-night arrival: the airport sits 16 km south of the town, and a separate hotel cluster has grown up around the terminals. There are options right on airport grounds and in the Aviatsionny district, 10–20 minutes from the terminal by taxi or shuttle. These hotels are built for round-the-clock check-in and a short overnight stay, but transfers work differently at each of them — it's worth agreeing on the pickup time when you book.

The cheapest places to stay are concentrated in Vostryakovo and Aviatsionny — the dacha-and-station neighborhoods south of the center, strung out along the railway. Airport shift workers and transit passengers stopping for a single night end up here: a private room or a hostel bed, a shared kitchen, parking in the yard. It's the option for anyone who just needs to sleep and move on, rather than spend the whole day in the room.

Large logistics hubs operate around the city — Severnoye Domodedovo, PNK Park, warehouses for national retailers — and business trips here often stretch into weeks. Over that kind of stay an apartment is more practical than a hotel room: a full kitchen, a washing machine, a separate bedroom. The main cluster of apart-hotels is Novoye Domodedovo, Kuryzhova Street and the blocks next to it; on bookings of two weeks or more, most properties apply a reduced nightly rate.

The northern part of the city, between Kashirskoye Highway and the A-105, is made up of ordinary residential blocks — and this is where most of the daily-rental studios and apartments are. The location wins on transport: into Moscow along the Kashirka, to the airport along the A-105, with city buses and everyday shops close by. A good fit if you're driving and want your own routine, without a reception desk, set breakfasts or neighbors through the wall.

Central Domodedovo is compact: the railway station, the town administration and Kashirskoye Highway all fit into a couple of kilometers. Hotels here make sense if you've come to the town itself on business or are waiting for the morning commuter train to Moscow — the station is a short walk away, with shops and cafes around it. The choice is small, but the center is where the most hotel-like properties in town are, with a restaurant, a sauna and a conference room.

There are no five-star hotels in the area — the ceiling here is four stars, and it is held by country resorts 20–40 km from the MKAD along the Kashirskoye and Simferopolskoye highways. A pool, a spa, a restaurant and grounds with pines and ponds: the format for anyone who wants to unwind outside the city without losing half a day on the road. They work year-round — in summer it's the water and the barbecue, in winter a banya day and an indoor pool.

If you're traveling as a group or a large family, renting the whole house works out better value and calmer than booking several rooms: your own banya, a barbecue area, often water right there. Places like this are scattered across the cottage settlements around the city — Lobanovo, Zemlyanichnaya Polyana, Uvarovo and their neighbors, all of it an hour and a half from central Moscow along Kashirskoye Highway. For long weekends and holidays, book ahead: there aren't many houses and they are the first to go.
