In St Petersburg, you can save by choosing a dorm bed, a capsule, or a private room with access to a shared kitchen. Compare not only the rate, but also the location and extra charges.
Consider stays in the city centre and around Nevsky Prospekt; Old Flat on Nekrasova is about a seven-minute walk from Nevsky Prospekt and Ploshchad Vosstaniya metro station. If the Hermitage is on your itinerary, compare routes to its main entrance at 2 Palace Square.
A dorm bed is best for maximum savings, a capsule offers more personal space, and a private room provides greater privacy. Note that Cameo is for women only, while A4 Capsules charges extra for bed linen and towels at check-in.
Calculate the total cost, including surcharges and practical facilities: a shared kitchen lets you cook for yourself, while a washing machine can be useful on a longer stay. For example, Old Flat on Vosstaniya charges separately for early check-in and late check-out, while A4 Capsules does not include bed linen or towels.
