Central Samara is convenient for both walks along the Volga and exploring the city’s theatres and historic streets. The area offers hotels, hostels and apartments for different types of trips.
For theatres, consider Europa or Furor, both near the Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Drama Theatre. For the Volga, choose Paluba by the embankment and beach, or the apartment on Nevskaya, a 15-minute walk from the riverfront.
A hotel works well if extra services matter: Furor, for example, has a lobby bar and a 24-hour front desk. YO! Hostels is convenient for exploring the historic centre, while apartments suit self-catering and groups: the Sadovaya apartment sleeps up to ten, but guests must be 21 or older and pay a RUB 5,000 deposit.
For an early train, the quiet Yanvar Inn is convenient at just 600 metres from the station. Alternatively, stay closer to the main sightseeing areas: Europa and Ost West Club are in the centre and about 2 km from the station.
