People come to Tula to show their kids the Tula Kremlin and the Kazanskaya Embankment, to make a side trip to Yasnaya Polyana, or to break up the drive to Crimea along the M2 highway. There's a hotel for every one of those reasons. Choose from 299 hotels in Tula on Moya Bron. Prices start from 2,500 ₽ per night.

**Kremlin, Tolstoy, or a Transit Stop? Where Should You Go?**

Tula sits just 190 km south of Moscow. Almost all of the tourist and business traffic converges on a single point — around the Tula Kremlin, the Kazanskaya Embankment, and the pedestrian Metallistov Street. Along this 1.5-kilometer stretch you'll find every five-star and most of the four-star hotels in the city.

Another reason to come is Yasnaya Polyana, 14 km to the south. A dedicated park-hotel was built right at the entrance to the museum-estate for its visitors. A third option is to stop for the night while driving the M2 "Crimea" highway.

Each travel scenario has its own cluster of hotels and its own price range.

Which Hotel to Pick Near the Tula Kremlin and on Pedestrian Metallistov Street

Tula's tourist core runs along Sovetskaya Street, Lenin Avenue, and the pedestrian Metallistov Street, which locals call "Tula's Arbat." From any central hotel you can walk to the Kremlin and the Kazanskaya Embankment in 5–15 minutes. Choose by format rather than by district. That can mean a classic five-star hotel, a boutique hotel in a historic building, or an apart-hotel with an in-room kitchen.

  • SK Royal Tula — a five-star hotel at 29 Sovetskaya Street, a five-minute walk from the Kremlin. The hotel has rooms across different categories, from standards (35 m²) to a presidential suite (160 m²). Guests get a buffet restaurant, a sauna, and a gym. Rooms from 9,400 ₽ per night.
  • Dvoryanskoe Sobranie — a five-star boutique hotel in a historic building at 44 Lenin Avenue. The hotel is next to the Samovar Museum and the Tula Drama Theater. Stays from 10,200 ₽.
  • Zlatinskie Lavki — a five-star apart-hotel right on pedestrian Metallistov Street, at number 9. A good fit for a longer trip or a family stay: the rooms come with kitchens. Stays from 11,350 ₽.
  • AZIMUT City Hotel Tula — a four-star chain hotel at 3 Sovetskaya Street. It's a 7-minute walk to the Kremlin. Rates from 9,000 ₽.

If you want to see all the flagship options at once, open the 5 stars collection. It lists every five-star hotel in Tula.

Near Yasnaya Polyana and the Park-Hotels Along the M2

If the main goal of the trip is the Tolstoy museum-estate, you don't have to spend the night in Tula itself. Yasnaya Polyana is only 14 kilometers from the city center, and a park-hotel rises right by the estate entrance, set in the woods.

  • Azimut Park Hotel Tula — four stars on the grounds of the Yasnaya Polyana forestry, a few minutes' walk from the Tolstoy House Museum. You'll find nature, quiet, and a restaurant with regional cuisine. From 6,300 ₽ per night.

For those driving the M2 "Crimea" highway who'd rather skip the city, the most convenient option is to stay right by the road. From there it's half an hour to Tula and about three hours to Moscow.

  • Park Hotel Grumant — at km 201 of the Moscow — Simferopol highway, in Shchyokino district. A handy stop for dinner and breakfast on the way to Crimea or back. From 6,300 ₽.

Budget Stays in Tula from 2,500 ₽: Near Moskovsky Station and in the Residential Districts

If you've arrived on the Lastochka train from Moscow and want to stay close to the station, look for hotels on Puteyskaya Street. From there it's a stone's throw to Tula's Moskovsky Station — just a block or two.

For business trips and cheap overnights, Kutuzova Street in the Proletarsky district also works. It sits 4–5 kilometers from the center. Rooms here start from 2,900 ₽.

  • Moskva — a three-star hotel at 3 Puteyskaya Street, a block from Moskovsky Station. From 3,100 ₽ per night.
  • Moonlight — a hotel at 15 Puteyskaya Street, also within walking distance of the station. From 3,500 ₽.

To quickly browse options by price, open the Cheap collection. It lists Tula hotels from 2,500 ₽ with handy filters by district and accommodation type.

A cozy, atmospheric place with great attention to detail (from flowers on the tables in the restaurant to a variety of porcelain tea sets for pleasant, warm conversations over a cup of tea). The house features decor in the style of a Russian izba, lace pillows, clean linens, and a hairdryer with a Gzhel print — you walk into the house and enjoy the coziness. There’s a play area for kids in the restaurant, swings of various types, and a rope park for those who like to climb. There’s an excellent clean pool, sun loungers, a jacuzzi, and a relaxation complex in the sauna area with tea, slippers, and a massage room. Art objects are everywhere (straw decorations, carved frames, samovars) — it’s a great place for photo shoots. I’d like to highlight the forest health trail in particular — we took a walk there enjoying the scent of lilies of the valley, and soon there will be wild strawberries. I definitely recommend it for a quiet getaway and enjoying nature in complete comfort.

The long journey due to a traffic incident on the highway was tiring, but the quick check‑in and the prepared room allowed me to recover quickly. Hot water and excellent shower facilities rounded off the day on a positive note. The experience was exceptionally good.

Awesome park hotel! We often come here for a family holiday, the kids love it! Cozy cabins with all amenities, wonderful friendly staff, lots of entertainment on site, a café with delicious food. We rented a cabin with 3 bedrooms — it was very clean and cozy. We had our own kitchen and a barbecue area. The holiday here went great, as always! I recommend it!

Frequently Asked Questions

Most travelers pick the Central district — Sovetskaya Street, Lenin Avenue, and pedestrian Metallistov Street. This compact area holds every five-star hotel in the city and almost every four-star. From anywhere in the district it's a 5–15 minute walk to the Kremlin and the Kazanskaya Embankment.

If you're specifically heading to Yasnaya Polyana, it's more convenient to stay near the estate. It lies 14 km south of central Tula. For a budget trip or a business stay, consider the station district near Moskovsky Station (Puteyskaya Street) or the Proletarsky district (Kutuzova Street).

Stays in Tula hotels start from 2,500 ₽ per night at a 2-star property. That's the price tag at the Morgan hotel on Metallurgov Street, for example.

A night at a three-star hotel runs from 2,800 ₽. At four-star hotels prices start from 2,940 ₽ — for instance, at the Imperia hotel on Karakozova Street.

Five-star hotels near the Kremlin offer rooms from 9,400 ₽.

The price depends on several factors: distance to the city center, the amenities on offer (spa, restaurant, pool), and the season.

14 km south of Tula, right at the entrance to the Tolstoy museum-estate, sits the four-star Azimut Park Hotel Tula. The hotel has its own park and a restaurant with regional cuisine.

If your trip also includes a tour of Tula, it's better to stay in the city center. From there you can reach the estate in half an hour by car.

If you're driving the M-2 highway and don't plan to stop in the city, take a look at the Grumant park-hotel. It stands at km 201 of the Moscow — Simferopol highway. The hotel has a convenient exit from the highway, a restaurant on site, and forest all around. From Grumant it's about three hours to Moscow and half an hour to central Tula.

Another option is to stop in Shchyokino or another town in Tula Oblast.
