The history of the "Sultan Lux" hotel building at 34 Koltsova Street is a true pearl of Kislovodsk. Built in 1902 in the style of the original architecture of the early 20th century, it belonged to the Kabardian Tambiev family and was conceived as an apartment building: furnished rooms were rented here to vacationers who came to the waters. The First World War opened a special page in the history of the building: it housed the infirmary of the All-Russian Union of Cities. Elmeskhan Edygovna Khagundokova, a woman of amazing destiny, served as a nurse here. Kabardian on her father's side, Russian on her mother's, she combined nobility and indomitable fortitude. In the hospital, Elmeskhan met her future husband, officer Nikolai Bazhenov, and in 1922 she found herself in France, where she began a new chapter of her life. In Paris, her natural beauty and aristocracy conquered the world of high fashion: Elmeskhan (then known as Gali Bazhenova) became the face of the Coco Chanel house. Later, after marrying the Comte du Loire, she took the name Irene du Loire. But her main vocation remained serving people. During the Second World War, Irene organized a mobile military hospital on a ship — her mercy routes ran through Morocco and Algeria. For her dedication and the rescue of hundreds of wounded, she was awarded France's highest award, the Legion of Honor. Her son, Nikolai Bazhenov, fought in the American army and died in 1945. After the war, the building at 34 Koltsova Street continued to serve the community: first, a girls' gymnasium worked here, then secondary school No. 3. Today, the cozy and comfortable "Sultan Lux" hotel is located within these walls, carefully preserving the memory of the past. Three buildings - one story Building No. 1 — historical It is in this building, built in 1902, with its long history, that 10 rooms (No. 1-10) of the modern "Sultan Suite" hotel are located. Three floors, where we tried to preserve the history. There are rooms with balconies, views of the city and one of its main attractions — St. Nicholas Cathedral. Rooms of different categories and capacities, from one-room Comfortable to two-room Suites. Building No. 2 There are only 4 rooms in this building. There is a separate entrance from the courtyard at the end of the building. There is only one Comfort class room No. 14 on the ground floor. It is a large family studio room on the ground floor with a separate entrance from the street. On the second floor there are three Comfort class rooms No. 11, 12 and 15. Building No. 3 Our new building was built and launched in the fall of 2025. In addition to the rooms, the building also houses a dining room, a SPA complex, a massage room and a children's playroom. Rooms No. 16, 17 (Junior Suite) and 18 (Suite) are located on the ground floor with an individual entrance from the street. Rooms No. 19, 20, 21 and 22 (Suites) are located on the second floor and also have an individual entrance from the terrace. All of them are spacious, equipped with modern equipment and furniture.
