Choose hotels in Dzerzhinsk downtown by Lenin Square, near the chemical plants, by the station, on the M-7 highway, or apartments and countryside stays by the Oka.
It all depends on the purpose of your trip. For meetings at the city administration, the courts and regional agencies, the center works best — Lenin Square and the Mira and Pobedy boulevards, with everything within walking distance. For a shift at the chemical plants it's more convenient to stay in the Zapadny district, near Tsiolkovsky Avenue and Rudolfa Udrisa Street. If you're passing through on the M-7, look at Igumnovo by the highway exit. For quiet and the river, it's Zhelnino and the Oka embankment in the south of the city.
The range is wide: from simple guest houses and roadside motels with the bare minimum to park hotels with a restaurant, sauna and pool. Daily rental apartments are a segment of their own, usually landing between those two poles and getting cheaper when booked by the week. That's why many people use Dzerzhinsk as a base: rooms cost less here, and reaching the regional capital is straightforward.
