Start your day in Irkutsk with breakfast before heading out to explore the centre. When choosing a stay, check whether breakfast is included in your rate and whether serving times fit your plans.
For walks, look around the historic centre, including the Lower Embankment, Karl Marx Street and central streets with traditional wooden buildings. At Business Hall, you can have breakfast in the ground-floor grill bar before walking to the city’s sights.
A hotel breakfast is a prepared meal, while a shared kitchen, such as the one at Irkutsk City Lodge, lets you cook for yourself. Breakfast is not necessarily included in the rate: at Albatros, for example, you can order it for an extra charge and have it delivered to your room.
Check serving times against your departure: breakfast starts at 8 am at both Matreshka and Ochagof, so if you need to leave earlier, ask ahead whether an earlier meal or takeaway breakfast is possible.
