The only five-star property that comes up in a Mineralnye Vody search is in the settlement of Inozemtsevo, which formally already belongs to the wider Caucasian Mineral Waters area. If you want a premium stay with treatment and a spa, it makes more sense to look at Kislovodsk or Yessentuki.

No. The healing springs and the whole sanatorium network are in the neighbouring towns — Kislovodsk, Yessentuki and Zheleznovodsk — while Mineralnye Vody has no sanatoriums at all. You can book a treatment package from the city, but you need to choose it on the page of the resort in question: in Mineralnye Vody itself people book only a place to sleep.

By car it is about 20 minutes to Zheleznovodsk, 30 to Pyatigorsk, 45 to Yessentuki and roughly an hour to Kislovodsk. The "Mineralnye Vody — Kislovodsk" commuter train leaves the railway station regularly: it runs via Pyatigorsk and Yessentuki, and the whole journey takes an hour and a half to two hours.

The safest choice is the sleeping capsules inside the airport building if you fly before dawn. For a morning departure the centre is close enough: the terminal is 6–7 kilometres away and a taxi takes about fifteen minutes. The main thing is to check the address rather than the name — "airport" in a property's title is no guarantee that it is anywhere near one.

The market splits into three tiers: the hostel and budget apart-blocks in the south-east, the bulk of studio flats in the centre, and a handful of full-service hotels with a front desk. A bed in the hostel and a room in a three- or four-star hotel differ by several times over. Rates rise noticeably in summer and in the high spa season; in winter the city lives mostly on transit traffic and accommodation gets cheaper.
