Look towards Primorskaya: from there it's a few minutes on foot to the Delfin water park and the Akvamir dolphinarium, and you won't have to travel to the beach every day. If gated grounds and on-site meals matter, choose a resort complex or park hotel. If you need a spacious family room, your own barbecue area and quiet, look for a guest house on Naberezhnaya, along the river.

Primorskaya runs along the shore — five to ten minutes on foot to the pebble beach, the water park and the dolphinarium, but noisy in the evenings. Naberezhnaya follows the Nebug River: quieter and greener, with yards that have pools and barbecue areas, though the sea is seven or eight hundred metres away. The two streets are less than a kilometre apart, so it's not about logistics but about atmosphere.

Resort complexes and park hotels give you gated grounds, security, a restaurant and shared facilities: you arrive and everything you need is already there. A guest house is a family-run format with a dozen or two rooms and either a shared kitchen or a home-cooked breakfast; there's less hotel-style service, but for the same money you usually get more space and the freedom to cook for yourself. If you value predictability and don't want to organise anything, take the resort complex; if you're staying a while with family, go for a guest house or apartment.

A heated year-round pool is something to look for at the larger resort complexes, where it operates regardless of the season. Guest houses almost always have outdoor pools, which open closer to July along with the water park and some of the cafés. If you're travelling in May or early June, check the opening schedule when you book.

The beach season runs from mid-June through September, with July and August the peak: the sea and the weather are at their warmest, but prices are at their highest. The sweet spot is the velvet season, September and early October, when the sea is still warm and there are noticeably fewer tourists. In the off-season and in winter, accommodation in the village costs one and a half to two times less than in summer.

The village sits on the A-147 Dzhubga — Sochi highway, so most visitors arrive by car; when choosing a place to stay, pay attention to parking. By public transport you travel via Tuapse, which has the nearest railway station and bus terminal, with minibuses and taxis running from there to Nebug. The closest airports are in Gelendzhik and Sochi (Adler).
