We stopped here with my friend for one night while travelling. The staff were friendly and always ready to help with any questions we had. The room was cosy and had everything needed for a stay. The mattresses were comfortable, the linen was clean and even smelled fresh. We had only positive impressions from our overnight stay here and will definitely come back again for a proper holiday.

The park hotel is worth visiting — it’s one of the best places in Sevastopol! The rooms are truly cozy and comfortable. You won’t encounter any dirt or rudeness here. The hotel offers a wide range of services. The territory is beautiful — you walk around and feel happy! Meals are provided at the restaurant located in the hotel. There’s a separate exit to the hotel’s own beach.

The hotel is very cozy, with comfortable beds, nice furniture, and a decent bathroom. It’s clean, with no strange odors. I liked the breakfast — it was tasty and filling. We stayed in winter — the room was warm, there’s central heating and an air conditioner with a heating function. The hotel’s location is good: it’s not far from the train station, and at the same time you can walk to the art bay in about 10–15 minutes, which is great for strolls. I’m not sure about the soundproofing in summer, but in winter there weren’t many guests and nobody disturbed us — it was perfectly quiet, so I got a great night’s sleep. Thanks to the administrator Valentina for her hospitality. Overall, we really liked everything, thank you, we recommend it!

I’d like to leave a review about the “Bashnya” Guest House. My family and I have been coming here for several years now. We first stayed here in 2021. When it came time to decide where to go on holiday this year, the answer was clear. Why “Bashnya”? When we checked in, we were greeted by friendly staff. The cozy territory, surrounded by greenery, has become even more beautiful compared to 2021. There are now more flowers and decorative elements. The room was very cozy and had everything we needed: a fridge, a flat‑screen modern TV with lots of channels — which is quite important when you’re on holiday with children. The room also included a set of dishes: cups, a knife, and a kettle. The bathroom had a hairdryer and towels. I’m mentioning this specifically because we’ve stayed at other hotels where we had to keep asking the maid for these things. The courtyard is a gated area with a children’s play zone (my kids were always playing there), a barbecue area with everything you need for grilling meat, and a relaxation zone. Meals: we opted for breakfast and lunch only, as we often went into town in the evenings. I should say right away that our kids are very picky eaters — but here they ate everything! And breakfast is a topic in itself: the most delicious waffles and pancakes we’ve ever had were right here. The beach (“Tolstyak”) is very wide and equipped with everything you need (sun loungers and umbrellas are available for rent). Entertainment: as I’ve already mentioned, we often went into Sevastopol in the evenings. You can get there by boat or ferry. Buses run to the ferry, and the stop is right next to the guest house. Over recent years, the city has become even more beautiful: flower beds, decorative arches, music playing everywhere. There are plenty of spots where you can just sit and watch the sunset. You can also visit many interesting museums in Sevastopol and take a boat tour around the city’s bays. Another place we liked to visit in the evenings was Uchkuevka Park — it’s not far from the guest house. You can get there by bus or on foot. The park offers lots of free entertainment options, including swings and a skate park. We highly recommend a holiday at the “Bashnya” Guest House! We spent a week here with the kids. We had the most pleasant experience — we felt extremely comfortable in the room. Although the hotel itself is not new, everything is clean. It’s very pleasant to walk around the territory — everything is green and bright. We have no complaints about the staff’s work: they cleaned thoroughly every day. We ate at the restaurant — there was a choice of dishes, and the kids were happy too.

If you're planning a packed sightseeing programme, choose the centre: Grafskaya Pristan, Primorsky Boulevard and the main museums will all be within walking distance. For the sea, head to Gagarinsky district, where the landscaped beaches in the bays are a short walk away. Sand lovers will prefer the Northern Side; people go to Balaklava for the views and boat trips, and to Fiolent for solitude and wild beaches.

Swimming in Sevastopol Bay itself is not allowed — navy ships are moored there. The closest spot to the centre for a swim is the beach at Cape Khrustalny, about a quarter of an hour on foot from Primorsky Boulevard. For a proper beach day, people head to the bays of Gagarinsky district, the Northern Side or Balaklava.

The swimming season holds from late May to early September: in June the water is still bracing but the crowds haven't arrived, July and August are the hottest and busiest, and September combines a warm sea with a calm city. May and September are the best months for the history: comfortable weather and no queues at the museums. From November to March it's windy and rainy, but that's the season of empty embankments and the most peaceful trips.

For July and August, book at least a couple of months ahead: free rooms in the centre and on the seafront go quickly. For May and September, one to three weeks is usually enough. In the shoulder season, in April and October, demand is noticeably lower and there's no need to hurry.

The range is wide: the most affordable segment is hostels and guest houses on Fiolent and in the dacha bays, the middle is city hotels and apartments, and the top is resort complexes with a spa and a private beach. Price depends first of all on the district and how close you are to the sea, then on the season and the set of services on offer: a pool, meals and beach facilities push it up noticeably. The gap between peak summer and the shoulder season is felt in every segment.
