The seafront district in the northwest of the city: Akulinicheva Avenue and Molodyozhnaya, Kaspiyskaya and Kavkazskaya streets. From there the city beach and the water park are a 5–10 minute walk, and the historic center is 2–3 km away.
The terminal lies south of Kaspiysk, in the Karabudakhkentsky District — about 4 km from the city and 16 km southeast of Makhachkala. It is 5–7 km to the center of Kaspiysk, a 15–20 minute drive; the seafront is around 10–11 km away.
The viewing point near the village of Dubki is about 85–90 km northwest of Kaspiysk. You can base yourself in the city and do the canyon as a day trip, or sleep closer to it on the Sulak road if you plan to set off before sunrise.
You can swim near Kaspiysk from late May through September, when the water warms up to 23–26 °C. From October to April the coast lives on spa hotels, the sanatorium in the foothills and trips into mountainous Dagestan.
The range is wide and depends on the area. The most affordable segment is apartments and guest houses in the residential parts of town and by the airport; apart-hotels near the beach stay in the middle of the range; the most expensive are the beachfront resort complexes with pools south of the city and the only 4-star chain hotel in Kaspiysk. In summer, at the peak of the swimming season, rates are noticeably higher than off-season.
