Plyakho and Blue Bay: An Alternative to Lermontovo
If Lermontovo feels crowded at the peak of the season, take a look at the neighboring shores. The small resort village of Plyakho and the Blue Bay microdistrict are two different places to stay, sitting a few kilometers on either side of Lermontovo, near the same A-147 highway (Dzhubga — Sochi). They have their own beaches, convenient exits, and a quiet setting. Plyakho is known mostly for its sandy beaches (quartz sand), while Blue Bay stands out for clear water and a calm atmosphere.
The main option here is Abrikos at 14G Mechta microdistrict. Rates start from 3,900 ₽ per night. This small guest house is well away from the noisy Lenina Street and often works out better than the center of Lermontovo — both for quiet and for price. It's a good pick for families with small children and for larger groups. There's a yard with a grill and space to park a car.

The streets closest to the pebble beach are Kurortnaya and Tenginskaya. The Light House hotel (5 Kurortnaya) is a step from the water. From the very center to the sea, it's a 10–15 minute walk in a straight line.
Plyakho and Blue Bay are neighboring resort zones. They sit about 7 km along the A-147 "Dzhubga — Sochi" highway. They have their own beach and separate highway exit. It's usually quieter there and often cheaper than in the center of Lermontovo. Walking between the villages isn't practical: you'll need a car or a minibus.
The swimming season on this stretch of the Black Sea coast usually runs from June to September. The peak falls in July and August. Nightly rates are at their highest then. In May and at the end of September, the sea is still or already cool. On the other hand, during these periods there are more available rooms, and prices are noticeably lower.
The village sits on the federal A-147 "Dzhubga — Sochi" highway — between Dzhubga (about 5–7 km to the northwest) and Tuapse (about 45–50 km to the southeast). The nearest railway station is Tuapse-Passazhirskaya. The most convenient way in is via the airports in Krasnodar or Gelendzhik. From there, you can reach Lermontovo by transfer or scheduled bus along the M-4 "Don" highway to Dzhubga and then along the A-147. Gelendzhik airport operations are periodically restricted in 2026.
