The closest to the beach are the Gorizont microdistrict and the beachfront strip along Primorskaya and the Kiseleva Street block: the pebbles are a few minutes' walk away. A little farther, but still within walking distance, is Morskaya Street. The blocks deeper into the Tu River valley stand farther from the water, but they are quieter and cheaper.

Yes, but there is only one such complex in the village, and rooms for July and August are taken a month to six weeks ahead. If it is full, you have two options: book a place in Olginka with breakfast or half board, or look at hotels with meal plans in neighboring Nebug and Novomikhaylovsky.

A guest house in Olginka almost always works out cheaper, especially in the village's inland blocks. A hotel in Nebug costs noticeably more, but the difference buys you a higher category, a restaurant on the grounds, a pool and a spa. If you simply need to walk to the sea for a swim and the budget is tight, the guest house is the sensible choice.

The village has no wide choice of upscale chain hotels — for that people head to Nebug, Gelendzhik or Sochi.

In May and the second half of September the village is noticeably emptier and cheaper, but the water takes longer to warm up. Early September is the compromise: the sea has warmed through over the summer, while the crowds have thinned out.
