Sudak sits between a 14th-century Genoese fortress and the vineyards of southeastern Crimea. On Moya Bron you'll find 16 accommodations starting from 2,000 ₽ per night. Book a hotel or guest house that fits the format of your trip. Reviews from other guests will help you pick a suitable option when booking.

Where to stay in Sudak: the Embankment versus the quiet streets of Uchiteley, Rykova and Gul-Tepe

The main question every Sudak visitor asks themselves is which part of the resort to settle in. The town is compact: just 1.5 kilometers along the shore separate the center of Sudak Bay from the Genoese fortress. Conceptually, Sudak splits into three zones: the lively Embankment, the quiet residential sector near the vineyards, and the outlying coastal settlements.

On the Sudak Embankment

The Embankment appeals to those who value being close to the sea. Most apartments and guest houses are located here. Nearby you'll find the promenade with cafes and the path up to the fortress.

  • Atlas Apart Hotel-Spa — Naberezhnaya, 75. Apart-format with a spa zone, from 15,400 ₽ per night.
  • Eleron — Naberezhnaya St., 69, from 7,000 ₽.
  • Zelyony Ostrov — Yeshil-Ada St., 8, from 5,500 ₽.

In the quiet neighborhoods near the vineyards

Uchiteley, Rykova and Gul-Tepe streets climb up away from the sea. The walk to the beach takes 15–25 minutes, but it's quieter here and noticeably cheaper. This option suits travelers planning a long vacation, going with kids, or arriving by car.

  • Guest House Yug — Rykova St., 9. From 2,000 ₽ per night — the cheapest stay in the catalogue.
  • Vorobinoe Gnezdo — Konsulskaya St., 2, from 3,500 ₽.

If you're after central locations at a lower price, check the In the center cheap collection.

Sudak's premium segment: Astarta on Morskaya Street and an apart-spa on the Embankment

The catalogue includes 16 accommodations, but there are no 4 or 5-star hotels among them. This isn't an oversight: the town itself simply doesn't have such hotels, and the upper tier of the hotel market here is structured differently.

The classical ceiling is Astarta at Morskaya Street, 1a. It's the town's only 3-star hotel, with a night costing from 16,000 ₽. It stands a kilometer from the sea and has a restaurant and its own recreation area.

A different format is the apart-hotel with spa at Naberezhnaya, 75. Rates start from 15,400 ₽. Instead of standard hotel services, it offers apartments with a kitchen and a spa zone. This works better for an extended stay than for a short two-night trip.

If you want a holiday focused on water and spa treatments, take a look at the Spa hotels collection. We've gathered every option Sudak has to offer there.

A quiet beach away from the Sudak Embankment: Kurortnoye village near Feodosia

The Sudak catalogue also includes properties in nearby coastal villages. Travelers who'd rather skip the resort crowds usually head there.

The most accessible option is the village of Kurortnoye, which is part of the Feodosia urban district. A calm beach stretches out here, and on the road to Koktebel you can stop by Cape Meganom and the Karadag nature reserve.

  • Seit-Nebi — a 2-star hotel on Kurortnaya Street, 14. Rates start from 4,800 ₽ per night.
  • Avocado — a guest house on Nauki Street, 10G. From 3,800 ₽.

If you stay in Sudak itself, you can take side trips to interesting spots nearby:

  • the urban-type settlement of Novy Svet (7 km away) — home to the Golitsyn Trail and a historic winery;
  • Kapsel Bay;
  • Cape Meganom with its lighthouse.

I came here for work and didn’t have time for a holiday, but I still managed to fully enjoy the splendour and coziness of this place. Someone I know recommended it — their opinion was extremely positive, which is why I booked it. I’m giving the highest score — thank you for the real homey warmth.

The guesthouse is a bit old‑fashioned, it evokes the past. But at the same time it’s comfortable, and the service is maintained at a good level. The beds in the room are decent, and they provided us with new and clean bedding. The location is excellent. There’s a large outdoor pool. You can also walk to the beach. There are a lot of amenities here for an active lifestyle. I liked it.

We were offered a wide range of options at this wonderful hotel complex. There was a place where the kids could have fun, and there were also entertainment options for us. We chose a room at a low price, but we were very pleased with the quality of the equipment. All the necessary amenities were provided, and the whole room was comfortable.

We didn’t regret choosing this place. The room is cozy and clean. The price turned out not to be that high, and the staff are polite. We went for walks along the embankment every evening — in short, it’s beautiful.

Frequently Asked Questions

The catalogue is structured this way: the town has one 3-star hotel — Astarta — one apart-hotel with a spa, and the rest are small guest houses and private mini-hotels. Large resort complexes were never built in Sudak. That's why there's no full-fledged 4 or 5-star hotel on the seafront here. For that kind of stay, travelers usually go to Yalta or Alushta.

The swimming season in Sudak runs from late May to late September. July and August are the hottest and busiest months. You'll see especially heavy tourist traffic on exposed routes, such as Mount Taraktash.

For walks to the Genoese fortress and around the surroundings, spring or September–October — the velvet season — is the better pick. The sea is still warm then, and there are noticeably fewer tourists. In winter the resort is quiet, and not all accommodations stay open.

The town's main landmark is the 14th-century Genoese fortress. It stands on Fortress Mountain and is considered one of the best-preserved medieval fortresses in Crimea.

Also worth a visit:

  • Frog Mountain;
  • the Cypress Alley;
  • Cape Ai-Foka;
  • the Lutheran Kirche.

Among interesting routes outside the town:

  • the urban-type settlement of Novy Svet (7 km from Sudak), where you can walk the Golitsyn Trail and visit the wine museum;
  • Kapsel Bay;
  • Cape Meganom;
  • the Karadag nature reserve — it sits along the road to Koktebel.

The nearest airport is in Simferopol, about 110 km away along a highway through mountain passes. From the airport to Sudak you can take a bus or arrange a transfer.

If your trip is short, pick a hotel on the Embankment. That way you'll reach the sea quickly after you arrive.

For longer car trips, it's more practical to stay in the private sector around Uchiteley and Gul-Tepe streets. It's quiet here, and you'll easily find a parking spot.
