A budget stay in Kazan can still put you in the centre: this selection includes hostels with both dorms and private rooms. A shared kitchen can help you spend less on eating out.
Consider places near the Kremlin and Bauman Street: Sova and Krylya are centrally located and have shared kitchens. Navigator is in the historic centre near the railway station, within walking distance of Bauman Street, with a ground-floor café open around the clock.
Kot na Kryshe has private two-person rooms, while Krolichya Nora offers family rooms with a private shower and toilet. Krylya also has private rooms, but the bathroom is shared and located down the hall.
Not necessarily: consider transport, food and parking costs as well as the nightly rate. The centrally located Kot na Kryshe has a shared kitchen and is a 10-minute walk from Bauman Street; Hostel Antika 2 is farther from the centre but offers a shared kitchen and free parking by the entrance.
