Hotels in Dagomys
Choose hotels in central Dagomys by the sea, family-friendly or with a pool, apartments with a kitchen, rooms on Batumskoye Highway or in Sochi — budget guesthouses in Loo and Vardane.
Hotels in central Dagomys, close to the sea
The center of the village runs along Leningradskaya Street: it leads from the highway straight down to the pebble beach, and the water is a five- to ten-minute walk away. Along it, a large Soviet-era resort complex with its own grounds sits next to very small private houses two blocks from the sea. Choose this area if you want to reach the beach without a car or transfers.
Where to stay in Dagomys with kids
The Dagomys beach is pebbly and shelves gently into the sea, and the village itself is calmer than resort-town Sochi — traveling with kids is easier here. Look at beachfront options with a pool on the grounds: the weather on this coast is changeable, and a pool saves a rainy day. A kitchen or a barbecue area comes in handy too — with a child, you won't want to head out to a cafe every evening.
Apartments with a kitchen in Dagomys — for a longer stay
Quiet Staroshosseynaya Street runs to one side of the resort bustle — this is where the apartments are concentrated, in newer buildings with an elevator and a kitchen of your own. The format pays off when you are coming for two or three weeks, or with a big family, and would rather cook at home than eat out. The beach is a little farther than from Leningradskaya, but no holidaymakers stroll past your windows.
Hotels on Batumi Highway, near the tea plantations
Batumi Highway leads inland from the shore — toward the forestry district and the northernmost tea plantations in Russia. The hotels here are small, set in greenery and quiet, and they run transfers to the sea, or you can drive there in about ten minutes. It's the option for anyone coming to Dagomys for excursions, tea tastings and mountain air rather than for the beach alone.
Budget guest houses in Loo and Vardane
North of Dagomys, Loo and Vardane stretch along the coast — villages with no urban infrastructure, but with the most affordable accommodation on this stretch of shore. The commuter train from Loo to Dagomys takes about a quarter of an hour, from Vardane twice as long. It works if the trip is mainly about the sea and keeping costs down, and you don't need anything to do in the evenings.
Hotels in central Sochi, half an hour from Dagomys
If village quiet isn't enough, central Sochi is a twenty- to twenty-five-minute drive from Dagomys. There you get the seafront promenade, the arboretum, restaurants and nightlife, and the choice of hotels is incomparably wider — from city three-stars near Kurortny Prospekt to historic mansions. A workable compromise: stay in the city and drive out to the Dagomys beaches to swim, where the crowds are noticeably thinner.
Hotels with a pool and spa — for a trip outside the swimming season
The swimming season on this coast ends around October, but Dagomys and the neighboring villages stay open all year. In winter people come for the spas and banyas, for a heated pool, for the empty stormy sea and for the plantation tours that draw queues in summer. Look for hotels with an indoor or heated pool and a thermal area — that is what makes coming outside of summer worthwhile.

Frequently Asked Questions
The swimming season runs roughly from June to the end of September. The velvet season — September and early October — still has warm water, with noticeably fewer tourists and lower prices. The village is open in winter too: people come for the spas, the quiet sea and tours of the tea plantations.
There are not many places to stay in the village itself, so the results expand to neighboring parts of Greater Sochi: Loo and Vardane to the north, central Sochi to the south. All of them are within a half-hour drive, and that is usually where the most affordable accommodation on the coast is found.
The center and Leningradskaya Street work best: the pebble beach shelves gently and is within walking distance, and the large resort complex has a heated seawater pool, a spa and a bowling alley for rainy days. On a tighter budget, private guest houses stand right nearby — the walk to the sea is the same, but there is no hotel infrastructure.
The plantations lie well inland, and the closest places to stay are the hotels on Batumi Highway. From the center of the village it is an easy drive or an organized tour, but you cannot walk there from the sea.
The range is wide: from simple rooms in private houses in Vardane and Loo to rooms in four- and five-star hotels in Sochi. In Dagomys itself, guest houses in the center work out cheapest, while the beachfront resort complex and the small hotel on Batumi Highway are the priciest. In the velvet season and in winter, prices are noticeably lower than in July and August.
