Central Kabardinka is a compact grid of streets between Revolyutsionnaya and Mira, a five- to ten-minute walk from the pebble beach. Guest houses sit close together here, with the market, cafés and the bus stops for Gelendzhik right nearby, and the Old Park about ten minutes away at an easy pace. It suits a couple or a family without a car: everything people come to the village for fits into a single walk.
The beachfront strip in Kabardinka runs along the pebble promenade itself, where you step out of the gate straight toward the water without crossing the village. It puts you closest to an evening walk along the sea and an early swim before the heat, while the Old Park and the central cafés still stay within walking distance. This one is for travellers who come for the sea itself and don't want to count the steps to the beach every day.
The resort hotels stand on the northern edge of the village, along Sukhumskoye Highway and just off it, a two- or three-minute drive from the centre — a shuttle or a taxi takes you to the beach. The format here is nothing like the village itself: fenced grounds, a private leisure area, a pool and a restaurant all come with the stay. People choose this when they're travelling with children and would rather not settle on the public pebbles, or simply value quiet away from the resort bustle.
There are only two medical facilities in the village, and both sit in the centre, within walking distance of the seafront. A package covers the room, four or five meals a day and medical treatments, with a minimum stay of five to seven nights — anything shorter and the programme simply doesn't have time to work. This is the one format worth coming to Kabardinka for in winter too, when the beach infrastructure is closed.
With children the centre is the easiest base: the Old Park, the Ellada water park, the oceanarium and the pebble promenade all fall within a ten- to fifteen-minute walk. Look at Revolyutsionnaya and Proletarskaya streets — they are quieter than the ones by the highway, and everything is walkable without calling a taxi for every outing. If a pool and an enclosed yard with a playground matter to you, pick a place with its own grounds.
Kabardinka draws people for more than the sea: beyond the ridge begin the trails to Bronze Age dolmens, the juniper grove and the waterfalls of the Zhane River. Staying outside the village costs more, but the forest starts at your doorstep and the clearings open onto views of the bay. Come by car and with a specific plan in mind — hiking, quiet, no promenade under your window.
The most affordable option in Kabardinka is a small guest house on the outlying streets, where the walk to the water takes a little longer than from the centre. Rates drop noticeably in the first half of June and the second half of September: the sea is already or still warm, and the promenade and the Old Park are free of crowds. Winter is cheapest of all, but some guest houses close up for the season, so the off-season choice is much narrower than in summer.
It's a village format here: guest houses and small hotels within walking distance of the sea, with no large chain hotels. Rooms cost noticeably less than in Gelendzhik. If you want restaurants on every street, water parks and a promenade that runs for kilometres, choose Gelendzhik or Anapa; if you want a quiet village with no nightclubs and a five-minute walk to the beach, choose Kabardinka.
The centre of the village is the most convenient: the Old Park, the Ellada water park, the oceanarium and the promenade are all ten to fifteen minutes away on foot. Look at the guest houses on Revolyutsionnaya and Proletarskaya. If you need a pool, gated grounds and a playground, take a resort hotel on Sukhumskoye Highway — those usually run a shuttle to the beach as well.
A guest house suits an independent trip: you pick your own cafés, walk to the beach and save on meals. A resort hotel is the opposite — the pool, the leisure area and the food are already included, and you reach the sea by car or shuttle. For a weekend for two a guest house makes more sense; for a week with children and no car, a resort hotel does.
The comfortable season runs from mid-June to the end of September. The water is warmest in August, and through the velvet season it holds up until roughly the twentieth of September. The best balance of weather and price comes in the first half of June and across all of September.
The lowest rates hold from October through May, but swimming is out of the question by then and some guest houses are closed for the winter. Within the warm season, the best value is the first half of June or the second half of September: the water is still warm, rooms cost less than at peak, and you can get into the Old Park and onto the promenade without queues.
