Cheap guesthouse vacation rentals in Krasnaya Polyana

The cluster stretches along the Mzymta River, and each village has its own cable car. From Esto-Sadok you can walk to the Rosa Khutor, Krasnaya Polyana and Gazprom lifts. The old village of Krasnaya Polyana sits five kilometers further down the valley; it's mostly private accommodation and the rates are noticeably lower. Your morning commute to the cable car and the price of the room both depend on which village you pick — and those two factors usually matter more than the hotel's star rating.

Esto-Sadok — by the Rosa Khutor and Gazprom cable cars

The village has a modern build: an embankment along the Mzymta, restaurants, and lifts within walking distance. Esto-Sadok holds most of the cluster's five-star inventory, but you can also find affordable three-star options. The walk to the Olimpiya base station at Rosa Khutor takes 10–15 minutes, or one stop on the shuttle.

The old village of Krasnaya Polyana — quieter and cheaper, 5 km down the valley

The village lies at the lower end of the valley. Most of the accommodation is private, with cafés and grocery stores along Zashchitnikov Kavkaza Street. The cable cars are 5–10 minutes away by car or shuttle. People come here for the quiet, the option to rent an apartment with a kitchen, and rates that are lower than what you'll pay next to the lifts.

• Gornaya Kadril — from 4,480 ₽ per night. The most affordable four-star in the cluster.

Rosa Khutor and Krasnaya Polyana — right at the lifts

If your goal is to walk out the door and be at a lift in five minutes, stay near a base station. Two solid options are Lavanda Embankment in Rosa Khutor or Gornaya Street in the Krasnaya Polyana resort. These areas have chain four-star hotels as well as cheaper three-star mountain lodges near Rosa Khutor.

In winter a stay in Polyana costs 2–3 times what it does in summer. Demand peaks over the New Year holidays and the February school break. From March through April and across the entire summer, four-star hotels in Esto-Sadok and Krasnaya Polyana drop to the same rates as ordinary coastal hotels.

The cable cars at Rosa Khutor, Krasnaya Polyana and Gazprom run in summer too — they carry visitors to the viewing platforms. From there you can hike to the Bzerpinsky Ledge, the Mendelikha waterfalls and the "Forest of Wonders," or stop by Skypark AJ Hackett on Sulimovka. It's a good way to escape the heat at altitudes between 600 and 960 meters.
