Esto-Sadok is the most modern part of the cluster: the Mzymta embankment, restaurants and shops close by, and the Rosa Khutor and Gazprom base stations within walking distance. Olympia is a 10–15 minute walk away, or one stop on the shuttle, so you don't need a car for the trip. This is also where most of the valley's expensive hotels are concentrated, though simple three-star options can be found here too. The best choice for skiers who don't want to spend every morning on the road and hunting for parking.

The old village sits five kilometers further down the valley, and the rhythm here is completely different: private houses, cafes and grocery shops along Zashchitnikov Kavkaza Street, quiet evenings. The lifts are a 5–10 minute drive or shuttle ride away, but a room costs noticeably less than right by the cable cars. Aim for this area if you're coming for a long stay, travelling with family, or planning to do more than just ski.

The Lavanda and Panorama embankments are the case where it is a five-minute walk from the hotel door to the lift: you're first on the slope in the morning, back for lunch at midday, and in the evening the embankment works as the resort's main promenade. Chain four-star hotels stand along the water, while at the foot of the slope, on Olimpiyskaya Street, there are simpler and cheaper mountain hotels. The format for people who came here to ski and count every minute until the first lift.

The Krasnaya Polyana resort on Gornaya Street is built as a single complex: the lift, restaurants, spa and kids' areas all sit within the grounds, and its own cable car runs between the lower and upper levels. The hotels here are mostly large chain properties with pools and plenty of facilities of their own. Convenient for families with children and for anyone who wants something to do on a bad-weather day without stepping outside.

Apartments win on longer stays: a kitchen, cookware and a washing machine spare you the daily trip to a restaurant and a laundry, and in the mountains that adds up. You'll find the format both in the old village and in Esto-Sadok, so choose based on whether you're willing to travel to the cable car. Take one if you're staying a week or longer, or travelling as a group that needs a shared living room.

The most affordable options in the valley are three-star hotels and small guest houses in Esto-Sadok and the old village: modest rooms, but not far from the lifts. Almost all of them have parking and a ski storage room, and in winter that is usually enough. A sensible choice if you spend the whole day on the slopes and come back to the room only to sleep.

From March and through the warm season Polyana gets cheaper while the cable cars keep running: they carry you up to the viewing platforms, to the Bzerpinsky Cornice, the Mendelikha waterfalls and the Forest of Wonders. This is when people come for cool air and mountain trails, and after a day on the trail a spa area with a pool and banyas matters more than being close to a lift. Wellness addresses are scattered across the whole cluster — from Rosa Plato to Achipsinskaya Street — so you can pair one with any neighborhood.

The cluster's five-star hotels stand right by the cable cars — at the Gazprom Laura base station, on the Vremena Goda embankment and deep inside Esto-Sadok. These are large spa complexes with pools, restaurants and ridge views straight from the room, and the slope is the same few minutes' walk away. In winter the segment is taken well in advance, especially over New Year and the February school break, while in the shoulder season the same hotels become far more affordable.
